How the calculator works

Total payback is the amount multiplied by the factor rate. Financing cost is total payback minus the amount. The daily estimate divides total payback by about 21 business days per month across the term you choose.

What the estimate leaves out

  • Fees deducted at funding, which reduce the cash you receive.
  • Weekly schedules, percentage-of-receipts collection, or reconciliation.
  • Returned-payment, default, or other fees in the agreement.
Common questions

Questions owners ask

How do I calculate MCA total payback?

Multiply the advance amount by the factor rate. A $50,000 advance at a 1.30 factor rate means $65,000 in total payback, before any separate fees.

Is the factor rate the same as an interest rate?

No. A factor rate sets a fixed total payback. It does not account for how quickly the money is repaid, so it is not comparable to an annual interest rate.

Is the calculator's daily payment what I would actually pay?

No. It is an illustration using an assumed number of business days. The provider's agreement sets the actual payment amount, frequency, and collection method.
