California merchant cash advance inquiries
Information for California business owners considering a merchant cash advance, plus an inquiry form for this page. Ventr3 is a broker, not a lender; funding providers decide eligibility, offers, and terms. Your location does not establish eligibility.
California commercial financing disclosure law
California requires providers of covered commercial financing, including sales-based financing such as many merchant cash advances, to give written disclosures before the business signs. The disclosure rules were enacted in 2018 and became enforceable in December 2022.
California’s disclosure includes an estimated annual percentage rate (APR). Later amendments (SB 362) restrict misleading use of the words “interest” and “rate” and tie APR disclosure to other pricing figures a provider states.
This is a plain-language summary, not legal advice. Coverage depends on the transaction and the provider; confirm details with the provider or a qualified advisor.
- Look for the total funds provided, finance charge, total repayment, payment amount and frequency, and an estimated APR.
- Use the estimated APR as one comparison point; the total dollars owed and payment schedule still matter.
Before you send an inquiry
- The exact amount you need and what it will pay for.
- Your three most recent complete monthly bank statements as PDFs.
- Any current advances or loans and their payment amounts.
- How a daily or weekly payment would fit around rent, payroll, and supplier dates.

Questions owners ask
Can a California business get a merchant cash advance through Ventr3?
Ventr3 accepts MCA inquiries from California businesses and may route them to third-party funding providers. Providers decide eligibility and terms, and some may not work with businesses in every state. An inquiry is not a promise of an offer.
Does California cap merchant cash advance costs?
Ventr3 does not give legal advice. Read the cost figures in the provider’s written disclosure and contract, and speak with a qualified advisor if you have questions about the law that applies to your transaction.
Will my bank statements be shared with funding providers?
No. Only approved Ventr3 reviewers can access your statements, and they are deleted after 180 days. Sharing your inquiry form and contact details with a provider requires your separate, optional consent.
